I offer translation, revision and proofreading services for many different types of documents such as:

I also offer consulting services on the management and coordination of large translation projects. I can assist with identifying and finding the correct human resources, defining processes, and the proper use of scheduling and management tools.

I can set up secure email or ftp sites for customers with special security or confidentiality requirements. In addition, I have held security clearances up to Secret during my career.


   
 TOOLS

I utilize a variety of advanced translation tools in order to reduce cost and to provide consistent translations that reflect the proper terminology applicable for my clients. Some examples of the tools I use include:

  · MultiTerm
  · Trados GXT

These tools are NOT what is commonly known as “automatic translation” or “machine translation” software. Such software is still insufficiently developed for most translation work, particularly for technical and business documents. Instead, the tools I use assist the translator by matching the segments (e.g. a sentence) of the text to be translated against already translated text stored. This results in a more consistent end product and helps speed up the translation process thus saving time and money.
